Hero Haven

Hero Haven was established in 2020 to provide an outlet for emergency personnel to offload their mental burdens in a confidential setting and begin the walk of healing. The organization was founded by a wife and mother of volunteer fire fighters, a registered nurse who was badly burned in a house explosion at age 10 and is now a trained peer supporter, and a fire fighter who was saved from suicide and is now a trauma mentor for other first responders. They wanted to fill a need among volunteer departments that don’t typically provide mental health support resources.

Hero Haven was created to support those who spend their lives showing up for others. First responders and frontline professionals often carry the weight of cumulative stress and trauma—much of it unseen and rarely spoken about. Hero Haven exists to change that.

Founded on the belief that no one should have to carry it alone, Hero Haven provides a space where individuals can step away from the demands of their roles and reconnect with themselves and others who truly understand. Through retreats, support services, and meaningful conversation, we create opportunities for awareness, healing, and growth.

At the core of Hero Haven is a commitment to breaking down the “I’m fine” culture. We offer practical tools, encourage honest dialogue, and foster connection in a way that feels real, not clinical. Whether through shared experiences, guided reflection, or quiet moments of rest, our goal is to help individuals build resilience, recognize their strengths, and move forward with renewed clarity and purpose.

Hero Haven is more than a program—it’s a place where connection replaces isolation, where support is freely given, and where lasting impact begins.
